Chasing The Wind

I denied myself nothing my eyes desired;
I refused my heart no pleasure.
My heart took delight in all my work,
and this was the reward for all my labor.
Yet when i surveyed all that my hands had done
and what i had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 2:10-11

Just a reminder to myself that i am not here for my own pleasure and accomplishments. I think it is something i tend to forget often, which leads to not being content in who, what and where i am.

Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing i desire besides you.

How do you go about making this statement true in your life? I know i have desires for earthly things, and the problem is that a lot of times i allow them to overcome my desire for my Savior. How do you fight back when you've allowed the desires of the sinful nature to invade?
